Sports Recovery & Movement-Based Acupuncture
For athletes, golfers, lifters, and active adults — recurring injuries are usually movement problems. We approach them as such.
Call (909) 239-6094Why upstream matters
Most sports injury treatment focuses on the painful structure: the tendon, the joint, the muscle that's flaring up. That's necessary but rarely sufficient. The reason it keeps flaring up is usually upstream — a hip that doesn't rotate, a foot that collapses, a thoracic spine that doesn't extend.
How we work
Our approach is informed by Vladimir Janda's muscle imbalance theory, paired with structured movement screening to identify the upstream pattern. Sessions then use acupuncture, cupping, and targeted manual work to address mobility and discomfort in the same visit.
Common cases
- Golfers with low back, hip, or shoulder pain
- Runners with Achilles, plantar fascia, IT band, or knee pain
- Lifters with shoulder impingement or hip restriction
- Recurring injuries that have been “treated” but keep coming back
